The Enterprise Information Framework (EIF) is a information processing architecture from brox IT-Solutions GmbH that is creating meta data on unstructured content such as Word documents.

The EIF is a well designed web service that adds a well suited integration interface to any kind of search technology. The EIF adds the following features to search algorithms:

  • Web Service interface for different processes (search, index admin, …)
  • REST interface for changeing the index
  • Data transformation and annotation services
  • Document filters for more than 390 file types
  • Clustering support
  • Templating language for applying business logic via templates

All these functions are vital for creating a good and full featured information driven application.
